Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide has signed
two Four Points by Sheraton hotels in the Sydney
CBD and in the city's western CBD of Parramatta.
The news came soon after it was announced
Four Points by Sheraton Sydney Darling
Harbour was leaving the portfolio after owners
M&L signed a management agreement with
Hyatt (see p20).
First up, Starwood announced an agreement
with joint venture partners, Frasers Property
Australia and Sekisui House Australia, to open
Four Points by Sheraton Sydney Central Park.
Located in the AUD$2 billion Central Park
urban village at the former Old Kent Brewery site,
the 297-room new build hotel is scheduled to open
in 2018 as part of a mixed-use development.

expand the presence of the Four Points brand in
Australia, following the recent openings in Perth
and Brisbane and the signing of another property
slated to open in Melbourne in 2017," said Andrew

"Boasting the largest pipeline in Starwood's
portfolio, the Four Points brand recently reached
200 hotels globally and continues to experience
strong growth around the world."
Designed by internationally acclaimed British
architecture firm Foster + Partners, Four Points
by Sheraton Sydney Central Park will feature 297
guest rooms, a bar and lounge with an outdoor
terrace, a restaurant, nearly 550 square metres of
function space, a fitness centre, and convenient

Out west, Starwood signed an agreement with
Sydney-based developer, JL Parramatta Pty Ltd to
manage the Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta.
The new-build property will be located at 89
George Street in Parramatta's Central Business
District, will feature 271 rooms and is scheduled to
open in 2018.

to develop a ordable, stylish and innovative hotel

WESTIN TO BRAND NEW BUILD RESORT IN COOLUM
Starwood's deals streak continued in June with
the signing of an agreement with Sekisui House
Australia to plan and operate The Westin
Coolum Resort and Spa in Queensland's

Positioned less than 200 metres from
the sea with direct access to the beach, The
Westin Coolum Resort and Spa will boast 220
guestrooms, including nine spacious suites, all
