and Darwin to its growing portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.
Announced first was the 57-key Ramada Eco Beach Resort, a 4.5 -star resort
located just over an hour’s drive south of Broome in the Kimberley region.
With a strong focus on conservation, Ramada Eco Beach practices sustainable
energy and water use throughout the property, including the use of solar power,
fluorescent lighting and recycled water to maintain the property’s expansive
landscaped grounds. In addition to being 70 per cent self-sustainable, the property
features over one kilometre of elevated boardwalks to ensure minimal impact
on the native bush land, all-natural bathroom products and the promotion of
The resort’s environmentally friendly practices also
extend to its guest accommodations, which consist of
solar-powered Eco Villas equipped with the latest in
energy monitoring systems to help guests stay apprised
of and adjust their consumption; luxurious, safari-style
Eco Tents that have been carefully designed to ensure
both privacy and ventilation, complete with patented
fly-screens; and beach houses with low-flow shower
heads and toilets.

Group, said he is confident the franchise agreement
will greatly benefit both the Ramada brand and the
property’s owner, Karl Plunkett.

Wyndham is set to enter the Northern Territory with the signing of a
franchise agreement for its first hotel in Darwin.
Owned and managed by Zen Quarter Management Pty Ltd., Ramada Suites
Zen Quarter, Darwin, is located just a five-minute walk from the city’s central
business district and offers 218 apartments with a mix of one-bedroom executive
and deluxe rooms as well as two-bedroom suites, all featuring balconies.

Ramada Suites Zen Quarter, Darwin, features
a swimming pool with impressive harbour views,
a gym, an onsite café, secure parking, an outdoor
entertainment area, free WiFi and Foxtel. All
apartments overlook the city or water, with many
offering views over both.

Wyndham also recently announced an agreement
for a new-construction Ramada Suites property in
Auckland, New Zealand.
Quest Serviced Apartments opened two more
Queensland properties, in Toowoomba and
Brisbane, during July.
First up was Quest Toowoomba at 133
Margaret Street, restoring the stunning Church
of Christ building to its former charm.
Quest CEO, Zed Sanjana, was thrilled to open
the first of three new properties in Queensland
for 2015, confident in the growth of the local
economy and the property’s future success.
“Toowoomba is booming as the economic hub
of the Darling Downs, with the recently opened
airport increasing accessibility, while the planned
Second Range Crossing will greatly improve the
efficiency of freight movement,” Sanjana said.
“I’m excited to see Quest expand its presence
in the state, ensuring we continue to meet the

Quest Toowoomba Franchisee, Cynthia Rice,
has been with Quest since 2003, bringing with
her more than a decade of experience and an in-
depth knowledge of how the business operates.
Prior to taking on this new business endeavor, Ms
Rice was Property Manager at Quest Ipswich.

Located at 133 Margaret Street, the property
features 74 apartments in total – a combination of
studio apartments with kitchenettes, along with one,
two and three bedroom apartments with kitchen
and laundry facilities and a separate living/dining
area. Rooms are equipped with LED Smart TVs,
WiFi, Foxtel and the property includes onsite car
parking, gymnasium and conference room facilities.
Located within the Kelvin Grove Urban Village
in inner city Brisbane, Quest Kelvin Grove closely
followed the opening of Quest Toowoomba,
with Quest Chermside on Playfield scheduled to
open in September.
The Urban Village is home to the Queensland
University (QUT) Creative Industries Department
with live performance spaces, business, enterprise
and research capabilities. Established in 2003, the
Urban Village was purpose-built for Brisbane’s
creative community with restaurants and bars, the
weekly Farmer’s Markets, and nationally acclaimed
productions at Queensland’s second largest
theatre – the La Boite.
